SETC conducts auditions and coordinates interviews for high school students and college transfer students during the
Annual Spring Convention each March.
Students seeking admission to College/University/Training programs can audition once for multiple schools and/or interview with school representatives all in one place, saving the expense of traveling to multiple schools.

Actor Auditions (High School Juniors Only)
Saturday, March 7, 2009 in Birmingham, AL
Approximately 250 students will audition on Saturday, March 7. Representatives from over 60 colleges,
universities and training schools are expected to be in attendance. Callback auditions are held on the same day.

Interviews / Portfolio Reviews (High School Seniors, Transfers, Technical/Design/Management)
Thursday-Saturday, March 5-7, 2009 – On-site by Appointment
The College Interviews are specifically designed for students who are seniors in High School, seeking
transfer from another college, design/technical/management candidates and students who are interested
in a BA degree as a theatre generalist.
Student submitted application forms are formatted into a booklet and provided to all
College/University/Theatre Training Program representatives signed up for Undergraduate Auditions/Interviews
when they check-in at the convention. Representatives then schedule and conduct one-on-one interviews with
student candidates that meet their criteria.
All Technical/Design/Management students seeking admission into Undergraduate Schools
display their portfolios Thursday, Friday and Saturday of the convention.

Participating Institutions (College, University and accredited Training School Programs)
College, University and accredited Training School Programs wishing to participate in the Undergraduate Auditions and Interviews must register by submitting the following materials
- Participating Institution Registration & Profile Forms
- and all fees (as specified in above registration form).
Each individual representing the institution must also register using the
- Individual Registration Form
- and pay those fees (as specified in individual registration form).
*All categories of Undergraduate Auditionees and Interviewees are accepted by application only. The deadline for applications will be
January 28, 2009. Acceptance is based on the order in which applications are received and approved. Follow the guidelines carefully when completing the application.
