guest designers - broadway comes to setc

Broadway ChattanoogaKevin Adams, lighting designer for Spring Awakening, Jennifer Caprio, costume designer for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Todd Rosenthal, set designer for August: Osage County, are scheduled to speak at 7:00 PM Thursday, March 6 in a Keynote Session that is open to all. The designers will also critique entries in the SETC Design Competition.

Kevin Adams


Adams, who won a Tony Award for Lighting of a Musical for Spring Awakening, also has designed off-Broadway plays and for opera, dance and concerts. He won the Lucille Lortel awards in 1999 and 2007 as well as an Obie for Sustained Excellence in 2002.

Jennifer Caprio

Caprio, a graduate of Carnegie Mellon School of Drama, designed costumes for the first national tour of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee as well as the recently closed Broadway production. She has designed more than 100 shows for New York and regional theatres.

Todd Rosenthal

Rosenthal, who is based in Chicago, designed the set for August: Osage County, which opened in December on Broadway. He has a wide range of national and regional set design credits, ranging from the Goodman Theatre in Chicago to Atlanta, where he designed the set for Doubt, which is opening in March at the Alliance Theatre. He also teaches at Northwestern University.
