Thirty undergraduate and graduate SETC members will participate as
Playwrights,
Directors,
Stage Managers and
Actors
in the writing, rehearsing and performing of
five
Ten-Minute Plays
as a part of the
Ten-Minute Play Festival
The Annual Festival will begin on Wednesday evening, March 2, 2011, with the Actors performing audition monologues*. The
Playwrights wil then work through the night on 3-character plays inspired by the Actors and the props and
costume pieces they brought to share.
On Thursday morning, the finished scripts will be read by the Directors, each of whom choose one of the
scripts and 3 Actors. They are then joined by the Stage Managers for day-long rehearsals, culminating in:
THE PUBLIC PERFORMANCE OF ALL 6 PLAYS
ON THURSDAY, MARCH 3rd, AT 10 PM
Followed by a critique session.
*Participation in the Festival is by application only.
Registration opens / Applications accepted in October 2010.
Playwright, screenwriter, author, teacher, producer, Gary Garrison,
will share his expertise with the SETC Annual Spring Convention
as the respondent for the Ten-Minute Play Festival 2011.
