Marianne Adams is the Education Director at Grandstreet Theatre in Helena, Montana where she teaches acting for 8-12 year olds and High School and has directed over 30 main stage productions. She is also the producer of the Grandstreet Theatre Summer Conservatory and camp. Marianne received her B.F.A. in Theatre from the University of Nebraska-Kearney. She has also worked a mentor and artist-in-residence in the Helena Public Schools and surrounding areas. Marianne is President and the Young People’s representative to the Rocky Mountain Theatre Association’s board of directors.
Patricia Whitton Forrest founded New Plays Incorporated, a publishing house specializing in plays for young audiences and books for teachers using the arts in education. She was also the editor and publisher at New Plays, representing over 45 writers and offering over 110 titles. New Plays was the recipient of the 1195 Distinguished Book Award from the American Alliance of Theatre and education for its title, Pioneer Journeys: Drama in Museum Education. In 1996, it received the Distinguished Book Award for the second year in a row, this time for its title Teaching Dramatically/Learning Thematically.
In July 1, 2009, New Plays’ name, website and outstanding titles were transferred to Dramatic Publishing Company, where Forrest has remained a consultant and continues her outstanding work in the theatre community. In August 2009, she received the Campton Bell Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Alliance for Theatre and Education.
