The Arundel Barn Playhouse will present Summer Season 2009 in the tourist area of Kennebunkport, Maine. The Playhouse is located in beautiful southern New England with ocean beaches, golf, hiking, canoeing, restaurants and other summer amenities. It is 1-1/4 hrs from Boston and 30 min from Protland, Maine and Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Summer climate is generally in the 80's with low humidity. Our facilities includes a proscenium stage with the audience area seating (216) contained in a farm barn built in the 1800's. There one farmhouse residence attached to the playhouse and, one block down the road, the Annex, which includes a second residence, costume shop, rehearsal space and costume and prop storage. Scene shop and offices are next to theatre. All shops are moderately equipped. In Summer Season 2009, we will present 12 weeks of live theatre (June 9 to August 29) in a climate of artistic collaboration with seasoned and a few aspiring professionals: "Suds (The Musical)", "Grease" or "Godspell", "The Mikado", "Altar Boyz", and "Almost, Maine". All 5 directors are hired via NYC and SSDC.
The Highlands Playhouse is a unique artistic venture. Created, nourished and sustained by the Highlands-Cashiers community, its reputation is wide-spread and continues to grow significantly. The playhouse continually strives to produce a variety of entertainment including musicals, comedies and dramas. We also provide a Shakespeare in the Park production every season. An exciting new season is about to begin for Lincoln Amphitheatre! Introducing a new production to commemorate the bicentennial of Abraham Lincoln's birth. Full company will assemble May 16th, with some positions reporting earlier. Needed -- actors, stage hands, electricians, to master electrician, and more. Orlando Shakespeare Theater offers 9 month Acting Internships and Technical Apprenticeships which include a weekly stipend and housing.
The Wolf Trap Opera Company is located in Vienna, Virginia and produces 2 to 3 Operas in the summer. We will be looking for Carpenters, Painters, Electricians, and talented Interns to help produce another successful Opera season. Interviews will be conducted at SETC, we hope to see you there!
