Minimum qualifications: MFA or PhD in Theatre with acting emphasis; Experience in both teaching and directing in higher education; Profile as active collaborator; record of and potential for development in creativity/scholarship.

Furman University's Department of Music is seeking an Artist/Teacher in Studio Voice and Lyric Theater. This is an Assistant Professor, full-time, tenure track position.
Duties: Voice studio instruction; primary responsibility for coordinating and producing opera, operettas, and musical theater as integrated components in the context of a highly respected vocal arts curriculum. Other assignments could include teaching acting in opera and musicals, movement class, scene study, a seminar for first-year students, class voice, and other vocal performance topics. The successful candidate will demonstrate skills in student recruitment and community outreach and participate fully in the service of the university including student advising, and will be expected to pursue creative activities appropriate to the discipline.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have significant professional experience in vocal instruction and in the staging, musical direction, and performance of diverse genres of musical productions, as well as understanding the environment of a top-tier liberal arts institution. The candidate's background should include opera as well as classical and modern musical theater. Undergraduate and graduate performance degrees in music or musical theater are expected; a doctorate or commensurate professional experience is required.

Murray State University is seeking applications for a full time, tenure-track faculty position for Assistant Professor - Acting/Movement.
Qualifications: MFA in Acting or MFA in Movement required. Up to date certification in a recognized movement technique is required. Experience teaching at the college/university level is required.
Responsibilities: Teach physical acting, movement for actors, ability to teach all levels of a variety of acting courses (including specialty courses such as Shakespeare, Restoration, etc.), teach a general studies theatre course each semester, direct at least one show per academic year, serve as a movement coach for all department productions, maintain an active role in the areas of teaching, creativity activity, and service on campus and in the community.
