Nation’s Largest Theatre Convention Returns to ChattanoogaSoutheastern Theatre Conference (SETC) holds 63rd Annual ConventionMarch 7-11, 2012Over 4,000 actors, professional company representatives, design and technical professionals, theatre educators, students from high schools and universities, commercial exhibitors, university representatives, community theatre producers and participants – those who practice theatre as a vocation and those who hold it as their avocation – will gather for The Nation’s Largest Theatre Convention at the Chattanooga Convention Center, March 7-11, 2012. Designers Tony Walton & Richard Pilbrow - 2012 Distinguished Career Award Winners
Legendary designers Tony Walton and Richard Pilbrow who have won top honors and awards for their work nationally and internationally will be at SETC to talk with emerging artists and critique designs for both Graduate Students and Undergraduate Students. Each Designer will also receive the 2012 Distinguished Career Award, SETC’s Highest Honor and present Saturday’s 2:30 Keynote Presentation together. This is the year to attend! Walton & Pilbrow will critique Design Competition Friday, March 9; and present Keynote Saturday, March 10.Since 1949, SETC has been hosting an annual convention. This 63rd Annual Convention will be held March 7-11 in Chattanooga, TN and represents a diverse community with multi-purposes, all sharing a common interest and commitment to theatre. Participants can choose from a multitude of events and activities to find their niche or interest. Whether attending to get a job or offer employment, network, present, hone your skills, learn new products or attend theatrical productions - this is a theatre convention that HAS IT ALL!
