Accomplished Broadway Scenic Designer Anna Louizos joined us as a keynote speaker at the 71st annual SETC Convention in Louisville, KY.

Meet Anna Louizos
Anna Louizos – has designed Broadway, off-Broadway, regional and international productions (including many world premieres). Tony Award nominations for her set designs include In the Heights, The Mystery of Edwin Drood and High Fidelity. Other Broadway designs include School of Rock (both sets and costumes); Avenue Q, Irving Berlin’s Holiday Inn, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Dames at Sea, Honeymoon in Vegas, Curtains, It Shoulda Been You, The Performers, Irving Berlin’s White Christmas, Baby it’s You, To Be or Not To Be, Steel Magnolias, and Golda’s Balcony. Most recently she has designed one of the largest international productions of West Side Story for Tokyo’s unique 360 Stage Around, a space in which the audience revolves and is completely surrounded by the scenery – the equivalent of 10 stages. Her designs have been nominated four times for the Drama Desk Award, an Emmy, and three Lucille Lortel Awards. Some Off-Broadway designs include the world premieres of Kings, Scotland, PA, The Altar Boyz, Tick, Tick…BOOM, Speech and Debate, Sons of the Prophet, Just Jim Dale and In Transit. For Dallas Theater Center (Twelfth Night, Fly, Sara Plain and Tall, Arsenic and Old Lace), Alliance Theater (Ever After), Guthrie (Romeo and Juliet), Alley Theater (The Underpants),The Old Globe (Much Ado, Beyond Therapy) Stratford (Pirates of Penzance),TUTS, Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theatre, The, Bucks County Playhouse and Goodspeed Opera House.
