For Companies & Casting Directors

Professional Casting Services

SETC hosts several auditions throughout the year where you can discover carefully vetted, professional talent for an upcoming show or your entire season.

Who Auditions?

SETC auditions attract a diverse pool of actors, singers and dancers from the Southeast and across the nation. The SETC Auditions Committee carefully screens all applicants to help ensure the quality of auditionees. Applicants who do not yet meet SETC’s professional qualifications only earn an audition spot by advancing from preliminary auditions adjudicated by qualified professionals. Among the selected auditionees, you will see straight show actors, musical theatre actors, dancers, singers and a cross-combination of them all.

Who Can Hire?

Professional stock, repertory, dinner theatres, cruise ships, entertainment production companies, and other organizations who provide monetary compensation/salary on a contracted basis to a majority of its staff, designers, directors, technicians, actors and musicians for the purpose of producing live theatre are eligible to register to hire performers at SETC auditions. A minimum of two years production history and solid financial standing are required.

Testimonials

    Justin Bradley – Dollywood

  • SETC was a huge success for us. We hired half of our Acting Company from SETC this year, an unprecedented amount of hires in one convention.

Caroline Kaiser – Florida Studio Theatre

  • I’ve found a whole lot of great performers for the holidays from SETC Auditions, so thank you!!

Katie Proctor – RWS Entertainment Group

  • SETC is the most vital and best organized event we attend during the year. Both (Fall) and (Spring) are so helpful to us in terms of knowing the talent outside of New York. We all have a tendency here in Manhattan to be isolated. SETC is rich with talent and energy.

Steven White – Harold Clurman Laboratory Theater Company

  • SETC consistently unites energetic and inspired artists with visionary production companies!

    Jeremiah Waggoner – Tecumseh!

  • Each year I come away from SETC with ``Triple Threat`` performers that springboard from our stage to Broadway...

Curt Dale Clark – Maine State Music Theatre

  • SETC is a wonderfully run Professional organization that I trust to help find talent for my company's continual casting needs.

Patrick Rowan – National Theatre for Children
