Broadway veteran Chuck Wagner will make a Special Guest Appearance at this year’s Friday Lunch where he will share his SETC story and impressive career with us in “I Found My Love at SETC” (Reserve your $20 Friday Lunch meal ticket when you register for the convention). Later on Friday, Wagner will present his “Broadway and Beyond” workshop (4:30–5:45 p.m.).
Meet Chuck Wagner
Chuck Wagner began his professional career as an aspiring actor at SETC landing the role of John Borden in The Lost Colony which led him ultimately to Broadway. For over five years he starred as the Beast in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. He originated the role of Rapunzel’s Prince and toured the United States as both Cinderella’s Prince and the Wolf in Into The Woods. He created the dual role of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde in the world premiere of Jekyll & Hyde. Other Broadway credits include Javert in Les Misérables, Van Helsing in Dracula and Athos in The Three Musketeers.
Regional roles include Jean Valjean in Les Misérables, Fred/Petruchio in Kiss Me Kate, Lancelot in Camelot (with Robert Goulet), Billy Bigalow in Carousel and Curly in Oklahoma! His show Living the Dream has been performed across the both oceans aboard the Disney Cruise Line. For four years he was Ringmaster of The Ringling Bros.and Barnum & Bailey Circus. Television audiences may remember him for starring as the computer generated superhero Automan.
