SETC Auditions

SETC hosts auditions for Professional Acting Jobs, Graduate School Admissions and Undergraduate School Admissions at our Annual Convention in the Spring, and Professional Auditions at our Fall Events.

Professional Auditions

Spring Professional Auditions at SETC’s Annual Convention

Find the job or employee you’re looking for! Approximately 90 Professional Theatres attend auditions with 800 actors at the Annual Convention – the nation’s top audition opportunity. To be eligible to audition as a professional you must be 18 years of age or older, not currently enrolled in school, and have had a minimum of two paid professional acting jobs in live theatre. Dancer-Only Auditions also occur at the Spring Convention. Auditions are held in March of each year in varying cities.

Professional Screening Auditions for College Students & Adults

Are you an actor who doesn’t quite meet the eligibility requirements for SETC’s Spring Professional Auditions? You may still qualify for Spring Professional Auditions by auditioning first at the SETC Professional Screenings in one of the 10 states that make up the Southeast region. You must register for screenings in your state of permanent residence or for the state where your college or university is located. This also applies to auditionees from outside the region as well.

Fall Professional Auditions

Representatives from multiple professional theatres gather at our fall meeting to audition over 200 actors. To be eligible to audition as a professional in the Fall, you must be 19 years of age or older, not be currently enrolled in school, be available to work within 60 days of the audition, and have had a minimum of two paid professional jobs in live theatre with companies approved by the SETC Auditions Committee.

Fall Professional Qualifiers

Are you an actor, but unable to meet the eligibility requirements for SETC’s Fall Professional Unified Auditions? You may still qualify for these by auditioning the day before the Fall Auditions begin. Be sure to download the instructions from the Fall Professional page.  NOTE:  This will NOT take place for Fall Professional Auditions 2020.
